Are you a beauty and personal care enthusiast? Are you fond of making your own beauty product creations? Have you tried concocting your own bath bomb?
If you have not yet, then it is time for you to make an attempt at blending your own bath bombs and actually succeed at it.
Presented here is how to make bath bombs like lush. Simply follow the DIY instructions and you will create amazing product results.
Prepare one cup of baking soda, ½ cup of citric acid or lemon juice, ¾ cup of corn starch and ½ cup of Epsom salt. These make up your dry ingredients.
Now let us move on to the wet ingredients. You will need to prepare one tablespoon of water, three tablespoons of olive oil, 20 droplets of essential oils, and four droplets of colorant in the form of a soap dye.
Thoroughly mix the dry bath bomb ingredients in a large bowl. You may use an electric mixer to make sure that the mixture will be very fine without any visible clusters or tufts.
In another container, mix well all the wet bath bomb ingredients. A mason jar will work best for this step so that you can easily shake the jar for thorough blending of the bath bomb ingredients.
Pour the liquid into the dry mixture still in the bowl. Make sure to do this gradually and not instantly at once. As you slowly transfer the colored liquid mixture, thoroughly and quickly stir the new blend. You have to work fast on this before the mixture starts to fizz and froth. You do not want that.
You are after the successful creation of homemade bath bombs just like lush makes. The last thing you need are bombs that fizzled even before the completion of the procedures.
Check if the mixture can already hold some shape. If it still is not too viscous, adjust the liquid and add more of it, again slowly.
Once you achieve the right viscosity, then you can press sticky mixture in to your preferred shapes of mold. Allow them to take the figure of the molds for no more than 15 minutes, otherwise you will have a difficult time taking them back out.
Dry them for at least four hours on a paper towel.
There you have it. Your homemade bath bombs like lush are ready for use.
Cellophane bags or thin scrapbooking papers will be perfect for wrapping your homemade bath bombs like lush. Do not seal them in airtight containers as absence of air will cause them to melt or bubble.
You can use green colorant with lemongrass and peppermint essential oils. It will make for an herbal mix that will be good for your hair.
For blue dye, blend it in with eucalyptus for a relaxing and soothing feel on your skin that will be like a true spa treatment.
Purple dye will be perfect with lavender essential oil with a twist of lemon. The citrus blend will revitalize your body’s energies.
While yellow colorant will be a great mix with orange essential oil, red colorant will be perfect fitting for rose essential oil.
